Product Description

Somatos-V analyzer (weight, single-channel) is used for somatic cell amount determination in milk. Drain time in the device is measured with an electronic balance which is not influenced by the sources of errors (unlike in previous models, Somatos-M). The balance also controls continuously the drain through the capillary, which allows detecting unacceptable deviations.

The device operation is based on the method determined in GOST 23453-9 as “method of determination of somatic cells amount in milk by means of a viscometer”. Relative viscosity of samples from a mixture of milk with Mastoprim preparation aqueous solution is determined using a tensoelectric device by drain time of equal (by weight) portions (calibration weight). The calibration weight is equal to the weight of distilled water drained through the capillary in 8.3 seconds from a 15 cm3 sample.

In the process of draining the information is sent continuously from the tensoelectric device and processed so that the deviations are calculated, which allows avoiding major errors.

Performs up to 40 measurements per hour.

Analyzer consists of two main parts: a measuring block (1) and a mixing block (2).

Inside the measuring block a device electronic part and a tensoelectric device are placed. On the housing (3) a display indicator (4) and controllers (5) are placed. The mixing block is formed by a column (6) with a stepper motor (7) fixed in the upper part with jaws for a measuring flask (8). In the tubular part of the flask a capillary assembly (9) is placed with sealing, which can be moved along the tubing part. In the measuring mode the measuring flask is arranged in vertical position, and a liquid is drained through the capillary into a dish (10), placed on the workstation of the tensoelectric device (11).

Compared to the previous models, the device has become more reliable due to changes in mechanism and process of mixing. The device may be used as a laboratory balance. Does not require staining for measurements with water. Other advantages are low weight and low power supply of the device.
