Express-test “4MYCOSENSOR” KIT056, (Belgium)

uni1201_cereals_kit_4mycosensor

Product Description

4MycoSensor is the first and unique test worldwide allowing a quadruple detection of the most relevant Fusarium toxins on the same strip. The convenient dipstick format makes testing easy, accurate and cost-effective. The test can be used in-situ for daily checks or in laboratories for analysis series of cereal samples.

Principle
4MYCOSENSOR is a multiplex competitive antibody-based assay in a dipstick format for the simultaneous detection of ZEA, T-2/HT-2, DON and FB1/FB2 molecules on the same single strip.

4MYCOSENSOR can detect all these important mycotox-ins molecules in corn, wheat, oat and barley samples at or below their respective European maximum residue limits (MRLs).

The test requires the use of two components:

  • a microwell containing predetermined amount of the four antibodies linked to gold particles.
  • a dipstick made up of a set of membranes with specific capture lines.

When the reagents from the microwell are re-suspended with a cereal extract, specific antibodies will bind the myco-toxins if present during the first incubation. When the dip-stick is dipped into the sample, the liquid starts running vertically on the dipstick and passes through capture zones. When the sample is free of mycotoxins, a colour develop-ment occurs at the “test” lines, indicating the absence of mycotoxins in the cereal sample.

On the opposite, the presence of ZEA, T-2/HT-2, DON or FB1/FB2 in the sample will prevent the appearance of the coloured signal at the “test” capture lines.

The convenient dipstick format makes testing easy, accu-rate and cost-effective. The test can be used in-situ for daily checks or in laboratories for analysis of series of cereal samples.
