ANKAR Unimeter moisture meter is intended for quick measurement of grain moisture. This is a microprocessor-based electrical appliance. The operational principle of it is based on the dielkometric method of moisture measuring in solid materials.
The operational procedure is very simple: put a test sample of grains into the capacity sensor and screw up the lid. Then choose the name of the grains and press the Start button.
The test sample is milled in the capacity sensor to the required condition and compacted. Then dielectric permittivity of the sample is measured as it is located between the electrodes of the sensor, which allows determining the moisture of the grain.
Measurement may be performed in the field environment and takes the minimum of time. Upon completion the sample should be removed from the container, and the container should be wiped from inside. After that the device is ready to be used for other grain samples.
Convenience of use is guaranteed by:
- an LC display with clear picture;
- visual indication of battery charge;
- automatic disconnection of the supply.
For improvement of measurement accuracy, calculation of the mean value for several measurements is implemented as well as possibility to make adjustments by calibrations. A temperature measurement function is also provided.
